Only if you don't have enough right now.. look for signs of the hard drive thrashing and the mouse not responding.. if this happens quite a lot, consider adding ram.

My system would start making a lot of noise, like it was trying extra hard and then it was VERY slow. This little bubble would pop up: "Windows virtual memory too low..."

Anyway, it was an XP Desktop that had a Pentium something and like 256 or whatever of RAM. I just added two 512 (1024) so I now have a gig.

I don't know yet if it will be extra spiffy now because I use this laptop I am on right now as my primary.

I used to load like 12 digital pics on at the same time and the computer would literally freeze because they were high res.

Yesterday, however, I uploaded about 6 at the same time and they came right up.

I'm assuming this is a sign I did the right thing and it will be spiffy now???

Anyway, I hope you aren't all too mad I bumped the very old thread, because as I said when I googled the other day it was just ironic this site and thread came up first.
