The more I think about it the more i disagree with me.

I'd import the delimited file into Excel and use the resulting file as the data source.

I work for a company that does bulk mailing for businesses. I do mail merges every day as part of my job, sometimes with databases containing thousands of names.

Excel is definitely the way to go. Another thing you want to be sure of is to use separate fields for different parts of the address. Have a column for the name, one for address, a second one for the second line of the address (if there is one), one for city, one for state, and one for zip code.

Regarding how to import your list, there are several ways you could do it. It all depends on the original source of your list, which obviously I can't see. I will say that sometimes we receive a Word database from a customer, and we have to export it to a csv file (our postal software requires it). I've had to be creative to accomplish it, but most times it can be done.

If you haven't finished the database yet, and want some help, let me know and I'll write out what I've done in the past.
