Is it just me or does the game "Hearts" that comes with MS-Windows cheat?

It seems to me that the computer players work against the human player. I watch for situations that are not very likely and they happen a lot when the human player is the one that will lose the hand.

Yes, it does. In fact, most pc card games cheat.

You can also "work with" the computer players, just like they "work with" each other against you.

The game doesn't cheat. What would be the purpose?

I have been playing the Hearts game that comes with Windows since it first was included in Windows and it DOES cheat. As I have learned you have to play the game looking at it like it is you against all 3 computer players. The odds are not even for the computer players and the human player. It can be frustrating at times but it does cheat less than Bubble Witch for Android. LOL

Isn't that how you would approach ANY game of Hearts, regardless of who/what you're playing against?

It's a card game based on skill. "Odds" don't really come into play, unless you're suggesting that the shuffling algorithm is somehow rigged - very unlikely.

You're playing against a machine that can make billions of calculations per second. Luck is certainly part of any card game but it's not all luck. They probably dialed it back if anything.

Well I was meaning all three against you. In a normal hearts game it is wise to go after the player with the lowest score if you are behind or the highest score if you are leading. Usually you don't have three players ganging up on one player, costing themselves a loss just to go after you.
