I'm in the process of converting old 8mm and super 8 movies to mp4 files, which is a little convoluted but fine. What I don't like though is that accessing the files is almost a reverting to Win 3.1 looking at file trees and trying to figure out what each clip contains from the file description, and then double clicking to open.
I use VLC as my video player. Is there any freeware available that will allow me to create a menu page similar to what can be done with a DVD menu setup? One that allows not only a descriptor but a thumbnail image could be most helpful. This is all local to the computer and I don't want to mess with JW player or other stuff that is going to change out from under me.
