Grounds for divorce imo.

I'd actually dual boot, partition the drive so you have a clean install. And don't let her use your partition!

Buy a new laptop. Give her the old one and tell her it's her responsibility to keep it cleaned up.

Not cheap, but effective.

What's wrong with just giving her a limited User Account? It's far easier than what you're suggesting, and accomplishes the same thing.

There are a number of people on here that enjoy posting overly complicated solutions to simple problems.

Malwarebytes first if it does not help then Kaspersky Repair tool as boot disk if still not fixed try Combo Fix.

Maybe google the symptoms and look at the Processes running and google the supicious ones and you can find manual removal help.

Are you using Windows? How did she get so much on the system without administrative privileges? Most viruses and trojans (along with traditional software) will fail to install when logged in as a normal user.

Dual booting into a linux distro like Mint or Ubuntu takes about 10 mins to setup. Very easy. And will allow him to keep a completely clean windows install, given he doesn't infect it himself.
