People have always been confused about Shockwave vs. Flash Player. Shockwave is a thing mostly used in games, whereas the Flash Player is what most people use for video.
When I look at Firefox Addons, it just says "Shockwave Flash" and then the version number for Flash Player. I don't even have the Shockwave Player. I don't know if it's Adobe's fault or Firefox's for the confusing labeling.
This is all because of the history of these products. But they should stop saying "Shockwave" if they just mean the Flash Player.
In IE and Manage Addons, it lists the Flash Player as Shockwave Flash Object. That's not helpful to most users.
