I bought a HP laptop that was a lemon. They have replaced the hard drive, motherboard, and battery and now the screen only works at a 90 degree angle. HP has offered me a replacement and I was wondering if it was a comparable laptop or a better or worse one?
The lemon laptop is a HP Pavilion Sleekbook 14-b013cl. They are offering me a HP Pavilion 15-z with the following --
Windows 8.1 64
12GB DDR3L System Memory (2 Dimm)
Color: Natural Silver
1C15 Cycle AV
SuperMulti DVD burner
802.11b/g/n WLAN and Bluetooth(R) [1x1]
4-cell 41WHr Lithium-ion Battery
Standard Keyboard (black)
HP TrueVision HD Webcam with Dual Digital Microphone (natural silver)
1TB 5400 rpm Hard Drive
15.6-inch diagonal HD BrightView WLED-backlit Display (1366x768)
AMD Quad-Core A8-6410 Processor + AMD Radeon(TM) R5 Graphics
No Additional Office Software
Security Software Trial
I don't know much about computers, but I want to make sure I am getting something comparable at least.
Well, the replacement laptop is bigger (15.6-in versus 14-in display) and heavier.
Better CPU, double the RAM, double the HD capacity.
Everything else is about the same.
I'm sure the OP appreciates the condensed version as well as the deeper description. Nice job you two.
