I don't know much about music, but I tried learning the recorder back in 7th grade. I forgot everything about music! But anyway, I was shopping in Circle C and I got a nice 50 pesos program! - Makemusic Finale 2014! I installed it and it was something I was looking for! I'm still figuring it out but it seems you can type music notes onto a sheet and then it plays the instrument attached to the note!

What awesome is that it has some samples. I has Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusic" on music notes and playing it sounds like an orchestra! Awesome!

Check it out! Finale Music Notation Software Products for Music Composition

Know of any other programs like this? Or this is the best and only one of it's kind?

Finale is the best and is the standard for the music publishing industry. It's been around for ~20 years.

I think trying to compose my own music might be a new hobby. I've messed around with Sonar X3 Producer a bit, and I have all the Cakewalk Sound Expansions for it. I just hope it can transfer the music I compose in some way to Finale 2014 so Finale can write up a sheet for it. Do you know how to do this? Or maybe it can't be done because Sonar X3 doesn't output Musicxml?

I am Logic Pro guy myself, but I recently loaded my iPad with Korgs Gadget and was really impressed.

"Recordlab desktop sheet music" takes midi music and shows it as sheet music and allows all sorts of modifications as well as writing new music. It does have to run in the Win 98 compatibility mode.

Finale is spiffy. It has been a mainstay for many years. If you are proficient with music theory and composition it is awesome.

I bombed composition and theory. So I am stuck on the technical end, recording and mixing and all that.
