It's an amazing time in technology. It's the logical step. We carry around key chain persistent memory (usb sticks), why not an entire computer?

I definitely expect to be in on this, if not first generation, then not too far behind.

I don't see a use for it, tablets and smart phones are more easy and portable. I was thinking maybe server room as a boot device, but cloud changes that to a boot Vm.

What would you use this for?

Home Theater PC / Steam In Home Streaming device / Arcade PC.

It's only got one USB port, but I could also see using this for POS or a Kiosk of some sort if you used a USB hub.

Also has potential for remote sensing or monitoring in situations where you need the computing power it has (or an x86 CPU) instead of something like the Pi or one of the other light weight Linux boards.

In-home presentations on a client's large TV rather than on a tablet or laptop.

Yep, this could be my new Plex machine, or maybe even my mother's!

Plenty of HTPC front-ends support using your smart phone as a remote controller over WiFi too, so that's not an issue!

Wow that is really neat. BT so you don't need to use the USB for Mouse\Keyboard.
I'd wait to buy until they get the kind that can get power from the HDMI port. I think I'd need another power strip in the living room to plug one more device into.

I haven't seen what the power source, but I was expecting it to be powered via USB like others. HDMI power would be nice.
