I've thought about keeping a computer, possibly one being replaced with new model, and reset it to factory condition then not connect it to any network. I could use it safely to keep personal fiances, tax records, and other critical personal information. It would also be nice for games since the computer wouldn't be weighed down with anti-virus, anti-adware, viruses, adware, Trojans, worms, etc slowing down the processors. Can't hack a computer not connected to the internet.
With the low prices of computers I think a non networked business computer is good for non technical people. Games on the other hand, get a game console system.
We need to STOP being so paranoid. Merely connecting to the Internet is not going to cause:

That's caused by end users making bad choices. How about connecting your computer to the internet and using some common sense?

It's a LOT more common nowadays for someone to hack a company you do business with then you. It is NOT common for sensitive data to be "hacked" off of your computer.
I don't think it's so paranoid when you consider things like Cryptolocker.
