I open up a folder full of pictures and I set the view to details. This shows me the file name, type of file, size of the file etc..

But it never shows the "rating". I like to rate my pictures with stars of 1-5 depending on what they are. Is there a way that this always defaults when I choose to view pictures with details?

I really don't care if the columns for tags or type of file show up so be cool if I could get them from showing as well.

Thanks!

Right click on the column labels and click rating, you can also add a check for tags.

I did the right click to see rating before. But it doesn't stick. I have to always right click to add it in. I want it to always show the column for rating. Thanks

Once you have it how you want it, go to Organize > Folder And Search Options and click the View tab. Click "Apply To Folders" and it will keep that view for all folders.

If you are into that you should seriously use Microsoft Photo Viewer. One of MS's best programs.

Gotta love MS. "You want to see something this way? You'll need a club and some super glue."

I don't get it, they took away the "Remember each folder settings" yet I'm able to sustain different appearances for each folder.

Because it's automatic now. UNLESS you do as Adyn suggested.
This is an improvement.
