I downloaded google chrome, and had no problems. Then I wanted to get more familiar with it. My page was not so clear, so I went to settings and came across something to do with "higher contrast." page.

Now, whatever I read there has become almost pitch black, and there is no way to delete that contrast. Please help, and thank you.

I am back with I.E.

You can uninstall it and then do a fresh install, as one solution, but you will lose saved places.

No need to delete. Go back to the settings and reverse the high contrast.

My comment above about an uninstall and new install was because the op said their screen was almost pitch black, so probably hard to see the settings to change them but of course if they can see them, then change it back or a reset.

BTW, reset would be the very last setting once advanced settings on the very bottom of the settings page is clicked on.
