I'm very close to pulling the trigger and purchasing this laptop:

Lenovo Lenovo Flex 215 15.6 Touchsc Flex 2 - 59418265 - Best Buy

I like the i7 processor, touchscreen, and the 2-in-1 ability to use it as both a laptop and a tablet. Any opinions good or bad about the specs for this machine?

Anything is better than my Toshiba junkbox:

From the get-go, this computer has been plagued with BSOD, freeze-ups, horrible internet browsing, constant shutdowns due to critical/fatal errors.

Lenovo stated that they removed the Superfish adware which can also be used to bypass SSL enabled security used on sites like banking sites.

However, there may be machines in stores which haven't been sanitized. To check after you buy one, go to this site which will scan for SSL vulnerabilities: https://filippo.io/Badfish/

If it reveals that Superfish is indeed installed, you can use Lenovo's own removal tool to delete it:

In case you don't know what Superfish is all about, see this site: Will the madness never end? Komodia SSL certificates are EVERYWHERE | Marc's Security Ramblings

I was seriously considering Lenovo, but the Superfish adware really turned me off. I don't get why such a company with their IBM legacy would jeopardize their reputation. Just don't get it.

Yes I did. So far I'm very happy with it. The i7 processor is great - programs and web pages load almost instantly. There was very little preinstalled bloatware so that was a nice surprise (from past computers I'm used to all the junk that HP preinstalls). The Superfish adware was no big deal. There was a removal tool that came preinstalled so I was able to remove Superfish in about 10 seconds.

The one thing I don't like is that the screen is a bit too dark, even on the brightest setting. And the colors just don't seem as vibrant compared to other computers I have used in the past. I probably just need to play around with the color settings a little more.
