Was trying to install one for someone. I got it all setup. It does extend the wifi, but for some reason the Internet is not accessible. I confirmed it was setup right multiple times. I quickly checked Google, which led me to a link saying Verizon FIOS does not support doing this, but ran out of time to investigate further. They have FIOS with an Actiontec MI424 WR Rev E combo modem/router type device. Anyone know, or know a way to do it?
If it's standards based equipment - I'm not sure why it wouldn't work. However, a quick google did bring up a forum on someone who was having issues using a 2nd Actiontec to extend this WiFi range.

There seems to be a number of responses about how to fix the issue. Not sure if any of that will help.
Thanks! I saw that last night, but didn't have time to go through it. I think I may have forgotten the most basic thing. I forgot to set the IP for the wifi range extender. When I get the chance, I'll try that. I just ran out of time. If I wasn't in a hurry, I would have thought of that. However, I did see somewhere where they said Verizon doesn't support doing that, and it sidetracked me.
I have Fios. Last year I tried several different range extenders and they all performed poorly for various reasons. I then bought the Fios network extender directly from Verizon and it works much better:
