Seems like every morning my computer is running a scheduled task. I see in the bottom right of screen a flag with a clock. I hear the back ground noise of something running.

I have windows 7. I start task manager and I see a couple things running called svchost.exe which says host process for windows service.

Any idea on how I can stop this from running every morning? Slows me down when I'm working. I'd be willing to deal with it if it only happened once a week but literally seems like everyday lately it's going on.

I've tried googling this question but no luck finding exactly what I need.

msconfig

It will show a list of what runs at startup. Find the prog and delete it from the list.

Alternatively download Ccleaner and use the Tools/Startup menu to do the same. Ccleaner will also clean a lot of crap off your PC.

Type task scheduler in the search box and open it to see what is starting.

If you open task scheduler while it's running it will tell you in the first pane. Anything scheduled to run is in the bottom pane.
