At work we have WSUS, and this sounds like basically that.
Not at all. WSUS lets sysadmins apply which updates they want, when they want, after testing. This installs what Microsoft wants, when they want, with no options for the user. Considering their recent history with updates screwing up computers, that's not something I would allow on my mine.
I had enough trouble with windows 10 over the last 5 days, hardware disabled and search malfunctions etc, that I decided to revert to windows 7 which was working fine. After reinstalling 7 everything works again.

I meant the basic concept. I should have been more clear.
Whether its P2P or Server based or lack of control, my point was not all machines on your network have to pull updates from the internet, one can, and the rest can leach off of that one. Much like Skunk was saying.
That has been an issue with our computers at work. All of our machines have been pulling updates from MS and not from our WSUS, even with a group policy and registry edits. So something like this P2P solution might actually work better if WSUS incorporates this, or if Windows 10 Enterprise handles things differently.

It's worth noting at this point that if Google had tried a stupid stunt like this, there would likely already be EU commissioners running through the streets of Brussels hoisting pitchforks and flaming torches, all yelling for Google's blood.
Same Google that reads/monitors and analyzes not only your searches but also your private e-mails?
Puhleeze!
They are all sneaky and sinister when it comes to making an extra buck.
this sounds like how most linux distros are distributed via bit-torrent.
No, it means it turns your computer into its own node like a bit torrent server but no anything illegal so MS can save their bandwidth and use yours to distribute upgrades.
I know this much. Since I upgraded to W10 my computer flies. Very fast, I must have had a virus in the old W7. Great upgrade. No regrets.
