Good point ... I bought mine (3225) when it was new, so there was still a $100 difference between the i3 and i5, and since it was specifically for an HTPC I didn't really need the extra power.

The i3-3225 is a GREAT CPU for a dual core. Exceeds the AMD quad cores of its day.

I have a Seagate Personal Cloud (of whatever they call it) and it does the job fine. It wasn't painless to setup because of some network issues, but after the teething issues, it is acceptable. I'm always able to access my data from any location, provided the electricity is on at home. I have the Plex media server installed too, so I can stream movies, TV, etc., to my TV or phone.

Overall: 7.5/10
