As some of you know, I have been trying to track down the problem resulting in a BSOD May 1 and again, today on May 12. I have posted event viewer and analyzer results. Tonight I ran CCleaner, AVG and MalewareBytes before shutting off my computer. When I turned my computer back on, there was a square on the screen with this , "Amlcosinglun", in the middle of it. It went away and my system came back up.
Has anyone seen anything like this?
Thanks

Amicosinglun is malware. That first "L" should be "i". I wonder if running Malwarebytes again could make a difference. The fact that it showed the name when you booted implies something was changed. Sometimes malware prevents itself from being cleaned. But it might be mostly disabled now, such that you could run anti-malware programs again and succeed in cleaning it. Or try other anti-malware products. But be sure to research each carefully to make sure it's not malware itself.

If all else fails, you could reinstall everything.

It turns out to look legit yet I deleted it anyway. But it came back and was discovered by a new adware cleaner I installed....I'm not worrying about that because I installed MSE instead of AVG and found a trojan dropper....working on that.

I deleted this and it came back. But I think it's legit. Not really sure why it would come back.

When you say it's legit, are you saying it's not malware? If it's not a program you purposely installed and your computer has been doing weird things since its installation, then it needs to be uninstalled.

Why not Google it? You can find out about almost anything that way. If the name is not recognized, it's probably not something you want. If it's something useful, Google should come up with details of what it's for.

Thanks skinsguy.
I do have strange things happening on my computer and am working on it here, in a BSOD thread. I think that is a symptom. I apologize for not getting back to this thread. Thanks to all posters!
