ERR_NETWORK_CHANGED

I am getting this message more often than not lately. One bar will drop on the signal strength in the toolbar, but when I check the actual signal strength of my home network, it shows full strength. All lights are lit on both my modem, and Netgear wifi router. The weird part is it seems to only happen on my laptop. Everybody else in the house seems not to have this problem. I'm running a Aspire 5552-5619 lappy, with an Acer Nplify 802 11b/g/n card. I am usually no farther than 20 ft from the router with no obstructions. Anybody have a clue what is going on?

What is giving you that error, Windows or a web browser?

I'm sorry, I use google chrome. And maybe I shouldn't have said others in the house are not having this problem. I spend six hours at a clip if not more online, where they do not. It's almost like cable is throttling us back, but was told they don't do that. hmmm

There seems to be more than one possible solution. After verifying your browser is up to date (hamburger menu > Help > About>

This page has a few solutions to try https://www.wiknix.com/how-to-fix-er...ged-in-chrome/

Also might be a good idea to see if there's an update for your wi-fi driver.

Thank you very much NHDave. Give me some time, and I'll let you know how it works out.

In the meantime, if you have another browser, like Firefox, why don't you run it and see how things go. If you don't have one, it only takes a few minutes to download one.

I use Firefox also, just not as much as chrome. FF gives me problems on some sites I frequent.

Okay I did everything recommended. Now it's a wait and see.
Quick question: If this does solve the problem, is this something I need to do every so often, or am I good?

Again, thank you very much!
