I'm shocked no one has ever used a mac os x server. Just my opinion. Is it because they are expensive with limited resources. I ponder.

I set up a Mac OS X server at my workplace when it first came out. It had way more power than we needed at the time, and we didn't do Windows or Linux at my workplace, so I ended up switching it out for a SnapServer, which was at the time the leading NAS appliance.

The OS X Server machine was truly trouble-free, but we were using maybe 10% of its capabilities.

I think the response to your question reflects the business world at large. PC based. Not sure if that's good or bad, just a fact.

I think if you had added a "no experience" to your poll you may have gotten a different response.

I guess so. At the moment I never thought about it.

I don't use OSX as a server because I can do it more efficiently with a Linux pc. I have a Mac as well as one Windows PC for work, but all my other machines run some flavor of Linux, so I'm likely a bit biased in that regard
