XP was the best operating system that MS ever put out. UP TO THAT POINT IN TIME!
Yes, it was small fast and rock solid.
It was, in every way, passed by Win 7. Windows 7 to this day is still the best MS OS ever released.
I'm tired of XP people. LOL!
PLEASE do your self a favor and at least move to 7.
10 is good. 8 is great on a touchscreen tablet.

But the Best MS OS'es of all time are (IMO):
Win 7, Win 10, Win 8* (on a touch tab only), Win XP, Win 98SE.
Vista is good now, but never will be in the top OS'es.

Coalman, where did you get 3.9% from?
I was looking at Peregrine's link which showed XP users to be close to 10%.
Windows 9x users zero percent?? I highly doubt there isn't enough people around the world using 9x to amount to at least 0.01%. Heck, Dude alone would make it 0.00001%!

Corporation and more so governments who are not too upgrade minded naturally do have extended support contracts with MS so they can be supported several or more years after MS end support for standard licenses which most anyone and small/medium companies use.

On this forum, unless otherwise stated, typically people would be referring the standard versions of Windows whether it was a retail license or OEM.

At least do the upgrade so that you can permanently have the key for free.

Why would I want to do that? I'm very comfortable with Win8.1. I dont love it as much as I loved WinXP (yet) but I have no reason to want to "upgrade".

10 brings some of the aspects of XP and 7 with a mix of 8.1 styling.

The reason you'd want to do it? Because you might eventually want to upgrade.
