Sometimes I will miss important emails for job opportunities, because I don't think to check my email every day. I am trying to get into the habit of it, but it's tough, and I still can't seem to fully. I just forget.
My gf told me that a computer be set up so that if an email arrives from a particular address, you can program the internet, to trigger the alarm, which will sound, if an email from that address, arrives. But I haven't been able to find such a system. Is it out there, like she says?
Also, is it possible to do with this, without the internet being opened, and even if it's technically closed on the computer, the signal can still be send to the alarm, as long as I am signed in on the email?
Not sure about Android, but I'm sure there's a way, but on an iPhone, you could set the email adress to be VIP with different notifications than other email addresses.
If you can not solve your problem use your cell phone or an alarm clock and set a daily reminder time. Maybe when you are having breakfast and a second just about bed time. When it rings check your email.
I use alarms on my smartphone for a lot of activities.
For some reason the alarm will not go off sometimes though, and it skips a lot of days. Perhaps if I go to use the bathroom or leave it in the other room, the alarm has a time limit and will stop after five minutes, and thus I miss it, or something.
Use a different email account for important emails and have it sync to your cellphone, that is what I do and I downloaded Zedge to give me different ringtones for each email account, gmail says "you have gmail" and so on.

Have it yell at you every 30 minutes. Don't ever tell someone in an interview about your inability to check for important emails. I would not hire you.
