[quote=cjs123;44952497I am concerned about Windows 10 being automatically downloaded, then having to get W10 off of the computer and recover W7. The steps aren't difficult; I just hope they work if needed. (Job hunting right now and really need that internet access more than usual. )[/QUOTE]

I think the free trial period has ended. I didn't want to switch from 7, went to a lot of trouble to disable those popups which made me want to change even less. I had my computer set to notify me of updates, and then install them myself if I wanted them. For months now, I haven't been getting the notifications and had to go to windows update to check every day. Today, suddenly I got an update notification, and my web browsers are running faster to boot. Maybe a coincidence, but I think not. I seem to remember July was the last month for the free upgrade.

I used Winaero to restore Windows Photo Viewer on my PC, yesterday.
It's a free tweaking app.

Who else is determined to give up the free Windows 10 upgrade?-winaero-restored-windows-photo-viewer.jpg
