Besides using the good ol' Windows Media Player for music, I'm using PowerDVD to play my Blu-ray discs on my desktop. Can't complain, really, but it's not cheap either. Haven't been using VLC that much, but I have it anyways.

I discovered MediaMonkey for music. It's on our home server so it can be accessed anywhere. Mostly our PS3 for playback.

VLC for pretty much everything else.

I never liked Window Media Player; and always went for either VLC or GOM.

But just lately GOM has become quite buggy and unstable - at least on my machines. So its VLC all the way now.

It's possible, but I don't remember for sure.

The only oddity I've come across is that pictures will not display on the PS3. Music works great, though. Because of the options available I was able to delete around 800 duplicate files.
