I am curious as to whether people still (actively) use file compression/decompression software. Any favorites or recommendations?

Daily .. we move lots of data to and from servers for work (from remote machines and locally), and generally zip them before moving (data folders in our software can grow to 10s of thousands of files over the years).

7zip has been my tool of choice for years.
