Is AOL dial-up still available? It might be a step up from Comcast.

Well, they stopped selling laptops with modems a long time ago too, but AOL still exists...

If all you do is visit sites like C-D, dial up or the fastest service available will load this page at the same time.

I have Comcast and while it's expensive and talking to someone on the phone can be a PITA the service itself has always been outstanding.

I had to use 56K a few years back temporarily for a few days, while it was bearable for a site like this you might as well forget it for most of them.

You haven't been on dial up in some time. I promise you even a 512KB DSL connection will load this page faster then any 56K modem...
