I have no home or apt, so I do all of my computing wherever there is a desk.
So you're homeless... but have 2 laptops?!?

I am homeless but I have:

2 Dell E1705's
Lenovo T420 # 1 with 16GB DDR3 512 GB mSata, 2Tb hd
2nd T420
Lenovo T430 16GB with NVS 5400
Lenovo Yoga soon to be 900 [warranty exchange]
Lenovo W520 24GB DDR3 K2000?
Lenovo W530 upgraded with the fastest CPU and 32GB DDR3
Sager NP150SM? whatever... 128gb MSata, 1 TB mSata, 1TB 7200 rpm, 2 TB 5400 rpm, 970M 6GB version, i7 4710MQ, 32 gb DDR3
Early 2015 Macbook Air i7 8GB, pawn shop buy at $700 total!

Gee, 10 laptops, but the Dells I don't use anymore, and one T420 was supposed to be a gift. I want to develop video games, write books, and make money making websites on these laptops.

I have three workstations at home of various platforms and configurations (personal and work). Each has their own monitor but I share a single keyboard and mouse. The keyboard and mouse events are sent to the appropriate machine when my mouse pointer hits the display edge.... so while it feels like a single workstation with three monitors, I'm actually tasking each machine separately. Obviously the main disadvantage is that you cannot cut and paste or drag stuff across the monitors....

Synergy - Mouse and keyboard sharing software

Not too far off from OP having two laptops.

Sounds like something similar to what I do here at work with a KVM switch. I have a single mouse and keyboard, but a pair of monitors connected in various ways to two desktop PCs and a laptop docking station. It lets me use various combinations of two machines, or two monitors on one of them.
