Some good, some not so much.

The good;

"Enterprise customers are moving to Windows 10 faster than any version of Windows. At the same time, we recognize that, in some instances, customers have a few systems that require longer deployment timeframes. We listened to this feedback and today are sharing an update to our 6th Gen Intel Core (Skylake) support policy.* We have extended the support period from July 17, 2018 to the end of support dates for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1; and we will provide all applicable security updates."

Personally I suspect they implemented this to begin with to try and get more people onto Windows 10.

The not so good;

"From October 2016 onwards, Windows will release a single Monthly Rollup that addresses both security issues and reliability issues in a single update."

Meaning instead of separate patches for each issue that we can select or deny, it will be all patches in one rollup, so you have to chose between all of them or none of them.

Since I [and hundreds of thousands of other people] have had problems with downloading/installing the Aug 9 updates, I've disabled wuauserv and reset updates to never look. I've had my search set to 'let me see first' for a year so I didn't get GWX automatically installed. I have 6 in hide. If MS intends to include all updates in one patch with no yes or no decision, I'll be leaving updates search on 'never look'.
I don't need no stinkin updates.
