Lately i have a blue lock icon in the middle of my computer screen. i have no idea why its there or how to get rid of it.
Is the problem with the computer or the monitor?

Thanks

Curiosity sent me to googling, and I found that it may have something to do with your monitor's security (and thankfully not a computer problem). Most of the queries, if not all, about how to get rid of the blue lock discussed Dell monitors -- yours a Dell? Some resolved it by holding down the monitor's menu button for 15 seconds while others pushed and held other buttons.

It is indeed a Dell.

If the above advice doesn't work try the buttons again after you pull the plug. Holding down power buttons or whatever will discharge any power that may be present.

Ask Dell?

This page has a chat option that pulls out from the right of the screen

Dell monitors have been having this problem since at least 2005. You are not alone in your frustration.
