^ i agree, but for what the op is asking any spreadsheet program will do. its like saying you need a pc to check email and occasionally browse internet webforums so therefore a $3000 macbook-air is ideal.
Unless I'm reading gSheets wrong, it actually can NOT do what the OP is asking.
gSheets can sort by a column, but I think he's asking about multiple levels of sorting.
Excel can sort Column 1 by alpha, and when cells they are identical, then sort by Column 2 by numerical, and if still the same, sort Column 3 by alpha.
IE:
Last Name | First Name | Date of Birth
Smith | Dave | 1-1-1980
Smith | John | 1-1-1980
Smith | John | 3-1-1985
Smith | Fred | 1-1-1980
Smithy | John | 1-1-1980
Smyth | John | 1-1-1980
google sheets is infinitely cheaper than excel (remember divide by zero?)
Divide by zero is undefined.
Never do this in formulas. Will result in Abends or BSOD.
maybe you meant multiply by zero?
Just busting your chops.
