Yesterday morning File Explorer worked as expected. Open it and everything you expect was there. The full "tree" and it was fast.

Had an update.

Today it opens to "Quick" Access and it shows This PC in the left pane and nothing in the right. It also has been sitting there for about 5 minutes with the green bar filling up.

WTH!

Got it back to This PC, but it's still running that green bar. I hate Microsoft.

Still have the green bar. Used the command line to check if drive C: or D: was dead but everything shows up. Changed directories, etc.

Back to "normal".

Used Ccleaner to clean the drives, uninstalled a bunch of MS crap that I had removed before, removed a bunch of stuff from startup (yet again), shut down then restated.

I don't know which of those things fixed it, but something did.

I win.
