Good morning,

I was told I needed a Wireless USB adapter to bring us up from 2.4 to 5.0. That I should be running at 150Mbps and I am only running at 34Mbps.

I downloaded the driver for the EDUP-model EP-AC1619. I tried to unzip it. I can't find it.

Help. I've tried finding it just about anywhere. I am running Windows 10.

Thanks!

If you're using Google Chrome as a browser, theres 3 little dots at the top right. Click on that and you'll see Downloads. Click on that and it should be right there.

Go to downloads folder, dude. And usually I don't remember the name of file I JUST downloaded so I just re download it again and look at filename then look for it in downloads folder.

Or I just re-download it again, why not?

people rarely get the maximum speeds quoted. those are usually measured using very good equipment under controlled laboratory conditions.

34 mbps is pretty good for a cheap wifi dongle and an old home wifi router.

consider the range your from the router can impact your speed. 5.x range really sucks if you have alot of walls and speed will drop. 2.4 is great range and can manage 144mb on the N side if the signal is strong. But remember usb 2.0 has limits on how fast any device can send data.
The now-aging USB 2.0 standard can theoretically transfer data at a very high 480 megabits per second (mbps), or 60 megabytes per second (MBps). That's impressive, but not as much as the newer USB 3.0, which can handle up to 5gbps (640MBps)—over ten times as fast as the 2.0 maximum.

Notice the differnce, people will over look MB vs mb
