Those are are for molex HD.. aka IDE drives. They are standard with all power supply units for that brand. You have a 10+ year old PC, it is consider EOL with parts. if the pic looks right, even your ram is standard DDR ram. Hate to say this, but any support for your PC is EOL, unless you can find a local PC repair shop that hasnt thrown anything out. Nothing wrong with having a older system, just upgrading them NOW is the problem you will face. Just face it, external HD is your ONLY choice if you do not have the connections on your MB.
The hard drive I am trying to add is an external hard drive that I took out of the case because it randomly stopped working. I need to access the files. If I get the adapter you linked, should it work ok? The current hard drive looks like it has at least 2 wires running to it, what other wires do I need to hook up to the new hard drive for it to work?
If its standard HD. You will need 3 thing to make it work.. One is a empty Port on your MB, The power adaptor I posted and a SATA cable to connect the HD to the motherboard. But if your external is not reading it, then HD might be bad.

this is what the ports look like on your MB.. if you do not have anything that looks like this picture.. it will not do you any good period. Doesnt need to look exactly like this pic ,but the ports are the same.
All the parts you need for the HD, along with the port opening.
That is a power adapter. You can hook the old hard drive in with the old power supply connectors on your PC. What you need is the cable to connect IDE to sata.

OP doesnt have sata power in their system. All they got is a molex, so they will need that to connect to the HD that is sata/sata power.
If she has a IDE port, then yes a sata convertor will work.. end of the day is the ability to connect anything at all on that old MB.
i am not seeing a IDE port as well.
