I was at a site watching a live cam of a volcano in Italy. All of the sudden a page popped up and I'd like anyone's advice concerning it. I snipped it and saved the picture of it. Here it is and thank you very much in advance for your help.

Scam, just close your browser. Be sure you have a legit anti-virus program installed on your computer.

Pardon for questioning you, but are you sure and what preventive program would you recommend?

I agree, it's a scam. I recommend MalwareBytes Premium to block malware like this.

I have seen this scam a dozen times.
There are several good antivirus programs.
MalwareBytes is as good as any.

+1 it's a scam

As soon as you see this, close the browser and see if it goes away.
Do not NOT click on the pop-up's buttons. Just hit alt-F4 button (the close the current program key). Some of these scams have a button labeled 'click to close', but actually activates a download and install virus function.

Also, immediately restart the browser, as it may be set to automatically go to the last open page. So you want that to happen not tomorrow, but right now when you remember to be careful. If it tries, close it again, and try to restart a clean browser.

I hate when people ask for my advice and then say "are you sure?"
No, I'm just guessing here.

It's just a web page. Anyone can make a web page to display anything. Close the tab and be done with it. Make sure you have A/V software running.
