Windows never ceases to amaze me on all the ways it finds to annoy me. The latest is that some programs that I have been using for years doesnt like wav files. acoustica basic a very good audio editing program does not recognize wav files if I just rename the extention to mp3 then its fine but not wav. Also my cd burned will not burn wav files any more, if I convert then to mp3s, fine. thats no big deal because there are plenty of cd burning software, but Im very use to acoustica basic it has all my plugins and I use it every day.I run checkdisk and system file checker, no viruses , this computer is for photo and audio editing its never connected to the internet.any ideas???

Can you clarify? It won't burn as data file or you can't create a CD audio disc?
