I travel back and forth from Pa to Florida several times a year. Recently, for the third time, after unpacking , my laptop mouse was dead. Cleaned contacts, new batteries etc. Third time,.... Unit was working fine the morning of my flight....but dead after X-ray scanner. Anyone else have this experience ? BTW Logictec mouse...but different models.

I travel to the Philippines each year with my wireless mouse and have to go thru many scanners along the way and my mouse has never gone dead but I do shut it off when getting ready to leave for our trip and use Duracell. do you shut yours off? My mouse is a Logitech M305 that I have been using for years.

Maybe take your battery out if turning it off does not do the trick for you.

Anyone who spends hours building spreadsheets, building websites, creating graphic overlays? I have both touchscreen and touchpad on my laptop, but I'm not lifting my arm to touch the screen whenever I want to make a selection.

Far from it, unless you only do very simple and basic things on your computer.

Travelled with (Logitech) wireless mouse overseas many times, and never had any problems.

Yes, but many people, me included, still prefer using a mouse for number of reasons...

I vote for mouse you cant touch screen always for multiple reasons:
your fingers,
the task you are doing,
the software you are using,
and its quicker and more precise for some,
and it was designed for a reason
and we are from that generation of mouse users and you are from the generation of the touche-rs :-D

They all have an on/off switch. If you leave it on, it could continually be getting clicked/used as it travels in your bag. Be sure to turn it off. Or if you don't trust that step, remove the battery during travel.
