I have accumulated a bunch of photo memory cards through the years. They range from 1 GB to 16 GB.
Which memory card reader would you recommend to put these pictures to my computers, please?

You could just use a USB cable.

Lots of computers don't have them, built into my laptop which is nice but any <$10 card reader will work. For something portable, I'd go with the one of the ones that look like an oversized thumb drive. For use on a desktop I'd go for a more traditional one with a longer cable although as long as you have front USBs that doesn't really matter. Thunderbolt if you have Thunderbolt, 3.0 if you have 3.0, otherwise 2.0.

How do you attach an SD card alone by itself to a USB cable?

Put in camera. One would assume OP has a camera, unless he's just collecting random SD cards from people by some other means.

Sorry, I didn't know they do have readers! Two out of three my computers do! Problem solved. Thank you for this advice.

Once they are in the camera how do they get them into the computer? That is the question they asked.

The OP just found out though his PC has built in reader anyway. Thanks to me, LOL. And thanks for the rep, OP. I presume it was you who gave it.
Good Lord. Make a comment and pat yourself on the back like you're the only person on these fora that would have made the mention. Hope you didn't hurt your arm doing it.
