I don't own a cellphone to take pictures and my older digital camera is on the fritz.
I do have a 2016 Dell laptop with a camera installed and I am running Windows 10 latest edition. I want to take scenery photos from my balcony outlook. How do I do that and view the image at the same as I am aiming like the viewfinder on a handheld digital camera?
Look for a camera app on your computer. You probably got one with the original software. Just type camera in the search box. If none go to the app store and you should find a free one. This will let you take pictures. This program should also have a menu item to show you the pictures. You will have some editing commands and can probably find free photo editing software in the app store. Photos is probably on your computer.
You can click the windows key and you should have a list of all the apps on your computer.
Webcams are typically pretty low resolution, so don't expect much in the way of quality.
You have to check the effective resolution, most should be adequate for viewing on a computer monitor but will not be adequate for prints, especially large ones. The bigger issue is the cameras just suck on many of them at any resolution.
I had $2700 video camera I bought around 2004, the video it produced was outstanding. It had a still camera option but the photos were terrible by any measure.
I'm sorry, what? She has a laptop. Pick up laptop. Walk to balcony. Open camera app. Take pictures.
Am I missing something here?
