Not really any advantage for gaming or bit mining as those don't depend so much on connectivity. Well, gaming does but cellular ping is lousy so you wouldn't want to game on it anyway. It's useful for people that want connectivity. I currently do this by just carrying around a phone and using. It's 4G but by the time we get computers with 5G, you'll already have phones that do as well. Mostly useful for enterprise. I don't know that I'd pay whatever T-Mobile is going to want a month to add a computer. It would definitely be useful but I already get that for free with my phone for fairly minimal effort. Computers could run better antennas though and have a lot more battery than a phone does. 5G though will be nice. It's not like 4G is particularly fast.

No. It's an evolution of LTE from 4G to 5G. Nothing major. It's computers with 5G cellular chip built into them.
