I give up. Can someone please give me easy steps to adding birthdays to my Mac IOS Calendar? If you need more information, please tell me what and where to find it. Thank you.

If you want it to go under the Birthdays section, then add their birthdays in Contacts.

If you don't care about having it in Birthdays, just add an event in the calendar. On a mac, it's File -> New Event, OR right click -> New Event, OR click the + sign in the upper left corner. On iOS, just tap the + sign in the upper right.

I tried that + sign. It just put in "New Event" and I could add nothing. Nor can I get rid of that note. No "delete". I want it to say whose birthday a particular day is - have that show up on the calendar with his/her name.

Ex: If a friend's birthday is 20 November, then when the November month comes round, his/her name will be there. Also I'll get a message ahead of time that the birthday is coming up.

Thanks.

I went back and tried that + sign again. You were right. I was misinterpreting what it said - or I did wrong last time. Anyway I got it now. Much simpler way than I'd been shown before. And right click New Event works, too. Thank you very, very much.
