I am thinking if I should buy a good laptop now (current target budget: $1500-$2000), or wait for a 5G laptop. My decision will heavily depend on when widespread 5G network be available. If next year, I may decide to wait, otherwise kinda waste money on 4G device. Just don't want to buy something, which will be outdated soon. But if it is not going to happen soon, then I may need to go ahead and order a new laptop now.

I don't really use laptop a lot, but do use it while and while, for programming.

Although I am not sure how to define 5G laptop. Maybe it is not the correct way to say it.

Thanks.

5G is not even going to be much available until 2121 or so, widespread that is, and even at that, the 4G will be far from outdated. In your area 5G might be available soon or already is, and 5G laptops will be out this year. I do not know if they are true laptops, notebooks, both, not sure.

You can bet the carriers are going to charge an arm and a leg for the service too.
