Is anybody else pestered by these things?
It seems no matter what website I go to, whenever I select any page an ad pops up, most often a full page ad. While it is easy to get rid of it, it is very annoying.
It just started a couple days ago, and I don 't know why. My AdBlocker doesn't stop it.
If it is a virus, my security system didn't block it.
Those advertisers should be aware that I will never buy a product from them if they advertise in this manner!
One just popped up: "Good deals weekly, 20 popular gadgets selling like crazy this holiday"
No way will I ever buy any of them!
Sounds like the work of a rogue browser extension. The link below explains how to remove extensions from Chrome. Remove any from the list that you don't recognize, and if that doesn't fix it, remove all of them.
I found it.
PackageTrak was a package tracking program that I inadvertently installed due to a purchase I made. The seller took me to PackageTrak to track the package after it was shipped (it didn't work). That ads came with the useless tracking software.
I won't make that mistake again!
I don't think I have Chrome. I will ask my Administrator when i next talk to him.
