Anyone else have it yet? My laptop has been working on installing it all morning.

If I disappear for a while, you'll have a pretty good idea how the restart went. I have everything backed up with low expectations.

So what is a 1903 computer update? Going from a Mannheim to a log-log slide rule?

All done - no problems immediately noticeable. Breathing a sigh of relief.

Windows 10 build 1903 i think it what is being referenced... it was pushed out by MS a week or 2 ago, I think.

I've never had a problem with any Microsoft update. Mine is set to auto update and it just happens.

All done too, and some
Keyboard stopped working and a mouse. Tried everything known to a human, then went to reputable computer shop. Walked out the shop with old fashioned keyboard and mouse connected by cable. My Surface Type Cover is a piece of junk now.
At the shop they told me that many people came with their problems after the 1903 update
I updated it first week in June.

Hmmmm....

My father was born in 1904 and I do not recall him ever mentioning a Microsoft update.

He was a lucky man. Technology is great, but sometimes sucks. Royally.

I got it. Since getting the "update", browsing is about half speed. The mouse doesn't work right. It turned off all of the sound settings and just canned them. It's a real pain in the.....you know. Typical Microcrap. You'd think they'd test this stuff before sending it out. Best news though, the wife is just about to retire from her IT job and she's going to have a new desktop sent to me with NO Swindows on it. Don't think you can get Swindows on a Mac anyway. It will be a great day when there's zero Swindows in my house.

I remember your posting, but didn't remember that it was about 1903. I felt bad 'cause I wanted to help, but really had nothing to offer. Interesting that my update didn't present itself until today.

I've never used anything but wired mice and keyboards....as I could never see anything to be gained by using wireless and thus introducing the risk of issues so common with wireless devices. I use a (USB) wired keyboard and mouse with my laptop at home as well. Much prefer the full keyboard and I have no patience whatsoever for those silly touch pads laptops have in lieu of a mouse. I am completely inept with them.

I'm pretty happy with this update so far and didn't expect to be.
