In short, I'm looking for a budget laptop. I don't care much about screen size, the only thing I care about is having 8 GB of storage and a decent processor. Ideally, I'd like to spend under $300 but I know that's probably unrealistic. I don't care if it's new or used.

Any suggestions?
If you don't mind refurbished, which I assume you don't, check this site. They offer upgrades and warranties.
What on earth are you going to do with 8 GB of storage? I guess if you just want to run a lightweight linux distro, ArchBang for example. Some don't even need any storage space as they can run off removal media. But then honestly it seems an odd question to ask for someone that intends on doing that.
Slightly over $300. Okay battery life, slow processor, Vega 3 graphics about equivalent with Intel integrated so nothing to note, very limited storage. There's a free slot for a 2.5" drive and a free RAM slot. Add a 500 GB/1TB HDD and it's okay. Another stick of 4 GB of RAM might be useful depending on what you're going to use it for as well. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RF1XD36
