I have the corporate edition from Norton, and I was told that it has a firewall already in it. Is this true?

I tried to run it with a personal firewall purchased from Norton, but tech support says that they are not compatible.

I am just worried that I am out in the open for attacks since I dont have a firewall running.

AFAIK, Symantec Corporate Antivirus doesn't include a firewall. That's why they call it an antivirus, and not a firewall. Windows has a firewall built in but you should really be behind a $40 NAT router for better protection anyway. In my experience, 3rd party firewalls (especially Norton products) cause more trouble than they're worth.

Symantec told me there was one. It is only blocks inbound traffic though. I was assured that it is 100% safe for basic email, web browsing, and paying bills.

I just wanted a second opinion.

It says, "Effective protection from spyware and adware." But it doesn't really go into it much. There's a lot more stuff out there besides spyware and adware, unless those terms are meant to be umbrella terms for all of it.
