I apologize if this has been covered recently.

For the last several weeks when I have clicked on a page link to send email using my hotmail account I get this 'problem box' which is really ticking me off as the email address I need doesn't show so I can send it manually. (Not to mention it's inconvenient or otherwise impossible to make contact is these cases)

I really don't want to have the hassle of changing email providers, so any suggestions?

What does the problem box say? Are you up to date on all your software, systems, etc.? This happens each/every time - that you do the same thing? Never happened before? Sorry, I don't have the answers, just questions, but maybe w/ this extra details someone can help ya.

[fwiw - I dropped hotmail when gmail first came out, and have not looked back since ]

I think I'm going to email Microsoft to see what they say.

When I'm on a page that has a link to email someone and I click it, a page comes up with a box that says basically 'you've experienced a problem, click here to report it to microsoft". It only started happening the past couple of weeks. I have auto update scheduled. Can't believe no one else is having the problem?

Ok, so you are on a page, a different web page - or within your hotmail.com page - and when you click on a hot link [embedded URL] of someone's email, this box pops open? Curious, have your cookies or antivirus settings changed?

No, nothing has changed. I emailed Microsoft with the problem and am waiting for them to get back to me.
