I am trying to download the latest version of Firefox. I had just downloaded the previous version earlier this year, so I will be installing 3.0 right over top of the older version.

When I go to the website and click to download, I get this message right off the bat:

Firefox Setup 3.0.exe is an Application from htttp://ftp.snt.utwente.nl. Do you want to save this file?

(1) I don't recognize this site, so I'm hesitant to save it.

(2) I close the message and back out because there is no mention about this step in the instructions on the Mozilla site.

(2) The name of the application changes each time I try to download. I have also gotten htttp://kyoto-mz-dl.sinet.ad.jp as well as two other http addresses.

(3) Even if I did save the file, where would I put it - in Programs? or in Applications? or in the Mozilla Firefox folder?

Weeelllllll, I'm stuck. Can anyone shed a light on my situation?

Many thanks!

PS: I purposely spelled the address as htttp (with 3 t's) because City-Data is translating the address into words "Studenten ..."

Those are mirrors for downloading. Mozilla can't dish out all their downloads off one server unless they liked watching their boxes turn into melted slag so they distribute the stress over a lot of different servers. You probably got the mirrors that are closest to you or had the least amount of load at the time.

Nothing to worry about. Save it wherever and install.
