We currently use tapes to backup our company files on a Dell poweredge 830, my question is. There are 6 computers on the system. My question is how do I get the server to switch to backup on a CD vs the tape that we are already using. The 830 has a cd burner. Will I have to do it manually? any advice would be great. Dell is of no help so far.

If your not taking the tapes off site why not use an external hard drive for backups, then do a manual backup biweekly to CD.
