Hmm, the link supplied by Tek_Freek suggests that the user needs to run Total Uninstall before installing a software application to get a clean snapshot of the PC and then the user will need to run Total Install after installing that software application to get an updated snapshot of the PC. Total Install then lets you see what got changed during the installation (files, registry, etc) and lets you roll-back your PC to the "pre-install" snap-shot if you want to uninstall the application w/o using the Uninstaller program specific to the application in question.
It doesn't look like Total Unnstall will remove software that's already installed.
I don't believe that Total Uninstall is the magic bullet that'll finally kill off the Symantec monsters on a PC.
Ack, well sorry to hear that. I was just thinking it would be nice to find a magic bullet for some PITB programs. (And that doesn't mean "Playin' in the Band" or "Pepper in the Brandy"....)
