OK guys, here's an interesting one...

I need to find an ambient noise program that will run with MAC OS 9.2.2

I had a booted version of EarSaver...that vanished with my upgrade.

Anyone know of a place that I can DL it for free?

I would like to find this in the next couple days!! Please help!

I've never heard of this type of application before. From a few minutes of research, it looks like EarSaver is one of a kind, but still available for OS 9 and below. Maybe you should consider buying a cheap old Mac that can run OS 9 and use it just to run this application? Lowendmac.com is a good source of information on the market prices for old Macs.

Did you see somewhere where you could DL it from? I searched forever last night and couldn't find anything that would run on 9.2.2

Buying a cheap "newer" MAC isn't really an option right now...

It's $9.95 from here. Compatibility-wise, the site just says OS 9 or below.

You should be able to get a used Mac that will run OS 9 for under $100. It might be an 8+ year old Bondi Blue iMac, but it should be doable. Check the site I mentioned before for details.

Yes, something along those lines. That will only work on OS X or higher though..

I think I just got my hands on a G3 iMac (that will run 10.4) for $80. Is that reasonable?

I don't know anything about Macs....

Sounds reasonable to me, if it either has a working OS 9 install or you have a set of OS 9 install CDs lying around that you can install on it.

Yeah, this is an old thread, but $80 for a G3 iMac is too much. You can get one of the earlier versions of the G4 line for that price, still use OS 9 via Classic, and have a faster computer to boot.
